UK & International Print Bureau
We currently have print bureau strategically located in nine countries which are key sourcing locations around the world, please find below details of the print bureau process.
1) The ticket and label base stocks are manufactured and pre-printed in country by the print shops, awaiting the variable data.
2) Once the variable label data is transmitted electronically to Metomatic UK there is no further re-keying of information supplied by the retailer. This maintians the integrity of the data and gives you a gaurantee of accuracy when the goods come into the retailer labelled and ready to be merchandised in store.
3) The customer file transmitted to the print shop contains all the variable data required on the labels, along with the supplier delivery address, country code, label type etc.
4) The data is then sorted by country code using the Metomatic in-house software then forwarded to the relevant print shop.
5) The local print shop will then match the base stock to the label type in the data file and over print the label stock with the required variable data.
6) The labels are then collated by order and dispatched to your supplier.
By using this method for the supply of tickets and labels Metomatic are able to guarantee the consistent quality of the label stock and the integrity of the variable data. There is no re-keying of data which gives you a gaurantee of price and description accuracy as well as 100% barcode scanability. Further benefits include a reduction in delivery times so minimising the time delays in particular through customs, there is also a reduction in potential import duties and transport costs.
